Pull as far away from traffic as you safely can, turn on your hazard lights, and avoid standing beside the damaged tire near an active lane. If the vehicle isn’t in a safe position for a roadside tire change, towing may be the safer option.

Before We Put the Spare On
Before installing a spare, our operator will make sure the spare is usable and check for visible wheel or tire damage that could make a roadside tire change impractical.
Have your spare and wheel-lock key available if your vehicle has one. If the spare is flat, damaged, missing, inaccessible, or the wheel itself has been damaged, a tire change may not be possible. In that case, Blue Gray can tow the vehicle instead.
